Dentist professionals– please help. Part replacement for an Optilux 401 Demetron Curing Light?
I was cleaning a dental office while the dentist was away and I accidently broke the tip(light guide) off of an Optilux Demetron 401 Light Curing machine. Its a removable piece so theres got to be a place where I can buy a replacement part.
I really don’t want my boss to know b/c hes suffering enough from Gall Stone Bladder surgury to stress out about a repair in some equipment b/c of a lousy dental assistant

If you are currently working for the dentist, why don’t you just use your own dental supply company?
Edited: What about Patterson Dental? Sullivan/Schein? Barton Cyker? Darby Dental? There are so many dental suppliers out there…..Your boss bought it from someone… maybe look up the invoice? I wouldn’t hide the fact that the tip broke….

This will reduce light or noise sensitivity and may alleviate the nausea too. As the compress warms, re-wet it to cool it off, then re-apply it.
Many people claim that a gentle face massage is a good cure for migraine headache pain. Using a circular motion, gently massage the area just below your cheek bones. This relieves sinus pain and stimulates blood circulation (which is an important factor in any cure for migraine headache pain).
Another massage cure for migraine headache pain focuses on your temples. To apply this technique, sit in a quiet room and make the lighting very dim. Close your eyes and try to relax. If possible, get your partner to perform the massage. Using a circular motion, gently massage the area surrounding your temples.

What is the proper way to use a dental curing light?
I am a recent dental assisting grad and am working at my first job with a dentist who is never happy with how I cure a tooth. (He is a recent grad too.) No matter how I hold the light, it’s never correct. He always adjusts it in the very smallest increments. In my dental assisting course, we didn’t get that specific with how to do it. Does it really matter? Or is he just being very picky? If it does matter, I would really be happy if someone would be very specific about details.
he sounds like a bit of a prick. i was a dental nurse for a year or so and my boss didnt really care how i did it. i just put the light really close to the tooth and cured it for 40 seconds.
